Expertise concerning the effect of the
Kalk MAX IT1 water treatment device
Test object:
"Kalk MAX IT1" water treatment device

Manufacturer: MAXX TECH
Mozartstrasse 9
A-4063 Hoersching

Test instruction:

A test should be carried out to determine whether the "Kalk MAX IT1" can reduce chalk deposits in water pipes and household equipment in a purely physical manner without altering the water chemically.

Experimental demonstration of function:
The effect was verified in a heat-exchanger arrangement with two identical test units. Water was withdrawn from the water pipe simultaneously before and after the device to be tested, and chalk deposits forced in the heat-exchangers. As chalk deposits increase, the through-flow of water decreases. The more water flows until the through-flow through the experimental arrangement stops, the less tendency there is for the water to form chalk deposits on pipes and container walls.
This test showed that the tendency to make chalk deposits is reduced many times over by the "Kalk MAX IT1" water treatment device. However, the effect is not only in the direction of flow, but also extends over a certain prior section of pipe. In addition, the effect continues for some days after the Kalk MAX IT1 has been switched off. For this reason, the expertise refers to the comparison over test times with and without the device effectively switched on. The test was carried out on the basis of the practice-related water withdrawal habits of a 4-person household with the additional regular withdrawal of 10 litres of water at half hourly intervals for a total of 8 weeks. During this, the device was withdrawn from the test line three times. With each removal, the effect was terminated or ceased within a period of 5-6 days.
